x\left(-x\right)-2x+x^{2}-3=x
Use the distributive property to multiply x by -x-2+x.
x\left(-x\right)-2x+x^{2}-3-x=0
Subtract x from both sides.
x\left(-x\right)-3x+x^{2}-3=0
Combine -2x and -x to get -3x.
x\left(-x\right)-3x+x^{2}=3
Add 3 to both sides. Anything plus zero gives itself.
x^{2}\left(-1\right)-3x+x^{2}=3
Multiply x and x to get x^{2}.
-3x=3
Combine x^{2}\left(-1\right) and x^{2} to get 0.
x=\frac{3}{-3}
Divide both sides by -3.
x=-1
Divide 3 by -3 to get -1.
