Subtract y from both sides.

Divide both sides by 2.

Dividing by 2 undoes the multiplication by 2.
-1+y=-2x
Subtract 2x from both sides. Anything subtracted from zero gives its negation.
y=-2x+1
Add 1 to both sides.
