\left(x+2\right)\times 15-\left(x+10\right)\times 5=0
Variable x cannot be equal to any of the values -10,-2 since division by zero is not defined. Multiply both sides of the equation by \left(x+2\right)\left(x+10\right), the least common multiple of x+10,x+2.
15x+30-\left(x+10\right)\times 5=0
Use the distributive property to multiply x+2 by 15.
15x+30-\left(5x+50\right)=0
Use the distributive property to multiply x+10 by 5.
15x+30-5x-50=0
To find the opposite of 5x+50, find the opposite of each term.
10x+30-50=0
Combine 15x and -5x to get 10x.
10x-20=0
Subtract 50 from 30 to get -20.
10x=20
Add 20 to both sides. Anything plus zero gives itself.
x=\frac{20}{10}
Divide both sides by 10.
x=2
Divide 20 by 10 to get 2.
